FIA WEC 6 Hours of Shanghai 31st October 2014 – Blog
We don’t need to be in too early at the circuit today so we take this opportunity to have a late breakfast. A late breakfast for us is 8:00.
We are driven into the circuit the roads are full of crazy drivers
My first job today is to capture images of the Drivers Briefing
Then Free Practice 1 90 minutes of action, I’m covering the track and I need to capture every car at least twice for stock images.
Back to the media room to process the images and get them up on to the web. We select the fastest cars from LMP1-H, LMP2, LMGTE Pro and LMGTE Am. Then 15 minutes later I need to cover the Pre Event.
Pre Event Press Conference
I have about 90 minutes to process more images before the Free Practice 2 commences.
The race started dry but ended up being wet very wet. My Canon 5D MK11 suffered a major problem when water got into the camera and effected the operating system. The camera is currently with Fixation and I’m talking to my insurance company.
More processing to get the images from race up on to the website. There is a common theme running through my blogs you can spend a lot of time processing images. Your work flow is very important and when processing a lot of images you need to get it right. My workflow due to replacement of a lap top, then replacing a camera has changed three times.
