Portrait Shoot – Bethan and Monty, Broad Haven Beach 5th April 2015 – Blog
I have been coming to Broad Haven Beach with the family for a few years now. Its on the list of beaches to visit when we come down to Pembrokeshire. This Easter week the weather, so far has been the warmest this year and the light has been amazing.
What I like about this beach there is always something going on, horses, people, kites, windsurfing, dogs, sunsets etc. This time was one of my favourites.
Trotting down to the beach was a young lady on a horse and the way she was handling the horse was impressive. There was a really bond between the both of them.
Most of the time I have my camera close to hand and I have been hoping to capture a horse running through the waves. This was the perfect opportunity to start taking some images, talk about being in the right place at the right time. The conditions were perfect and I felt very lucky indeed.
She trotted around then hit the surf and sped along the shoreline.
I was now hoping she would come back because I had to get closer to the shoreline and photograph her again closer running through the waves.
She trotted back and I asked the question could she run through the waves again. “Yes of course no problem”.
We got two runs and she came over and I showed the young lady what I had captured. One of the benefits of a digital camera, you can preview the images taken. She loved what I had taken. The ladies name is Bethan and her horse is Monty. I felt very lucky, happy and privileged to have photographed both of them.
